With the holiday season comes endless holiday gatherings and opportunities to pack on the pounds. If you don’t want a belly like Santa’s, follow these 10 simple party survival tips!
1). Bring a healthy dish to share
2). Socialize away from the food table.
3). Drink water before and after alcohol.
4). Survey the buffet line before filling up your plate.
5). Limit yourself to 1 or 2 splurge items.
6). Use a small appetizer plate to control your portions.
7). Eat the good stuff first! Start with a salad or veggies.
8). Enjoy your company and your meal by slowing down. Chat more = eat less.
9). Wait at least 15 minutes before going back for seconds
10). Take the party outside. Go for a walk, build a snowman, or start a snowball fight!
