Notice of Workplace Exposure to a Communicable Disease

We were notified yesterday, April 30, 2020 that one of our employees who works in the warehouse has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. The employee presented himself to the Wellhealth Worx medical team on 4/19/20 with symptoms consistent with the virus.  The employee was immediately sent home and asked to home isolate for 14 days and to schedule a test for COVID-19.  Additionally, as part of the process of supporting their patients and warning employees of exposure to COVID-19 the Wellhealth Worx Medical staff performed contact tracing with the employee.  At that time, the employee confirmed had been wearing gloves and a mask for the previous two shifts. He also confirmed he had been practicing social distancing at work and had not been in close contact (less than 6 feet) with any other employee greater than 15 minutes.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the virus is thought to spread mainly between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet for greater than or equal to 15 minutes) through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

Be mindful that If you experience the following symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Disinfecting all high touch surfaces throughout our offices on an hourly basis, including tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, sinks, etc.
  • Disinfecting all high touch surfaces throughout our warehouse including, tables, countertops, computer workstations, electronics, forklifts, etc.
  • Disinfecting all commercial motor vehicles at the end of each route.
  • Modify our facilities to accommodate all recommended social distancing guidelines.
  • Provide each employee with necessary and recommended personal protective equipment.
  • Educate and Train our staff:
    • How to recognize the symptoms of COVID-19
    • How to protect themselves and others from spreading the disease
    • When and How to properly utilize their personal protective
    • Complying with OSHA’s standards, including Bloodborne Pathogens, and Hazard Communication.
